Biosecurity is the prevention of disease causing agents entering or leaving any place where they can pose a risk to farm animals, other animals, humans, or the safety and quality of a food product.

The following products are available at Morvet to support biosecurity measures on the farm.

SANI-99

SANI-99™ for AGRI is a powerful agricultural disinfectant that is effective in preventing the spread and will suppress outbreaks of Newcastle disease (ND), Salmonellosis, E. coli, L. monocytogenes, Greasy Pig Disease caused by Staph, Swine Dysentery caused by
E. coli, Salmonella, Swine Flu, Foot and Mouth disease, Poxviridae, Avian Influenza virus (AIV) and many more.

Instructions for Use

Mix 1 x 96g SANI-99™ for AGRI disinfectant powder sachet with 16 litres of water as per diagram below. The following ratios must be adhered to for effective disinfection;

96g = 16L to cover 160m2 highly contaminated area.

96g = 16L to cover 400m2 medium contaminated area.

96g = 16L to cover 800m2 low contaminated area.

STALOSAN F

Stalosan is a disinfectant and desiccant powder making it a unique sanitising agent for all animal housing.

Features

• Stalosan F is a broad spectrum dry disinfectant, effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, coccidial oocytes, fly larvae and roundworm eggs.
• Stalosan F is a proficient desiccant which effectively controls moisture, reduces ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and other noxious gases.
• Stalosan F is approved by the Environmental Protection agency, a division of the FDA (Registration number: 75613-1) and also SABS approved.
• Stalosan F can be used in the presence of animals, even day old chicks.
• Stalosan F is a fine pink inert mineral compound, does not contain chemicals.
• Stalosan F is safe to man, animals and the environment.
• Stalosan F does not have a corrosive effect on equipment despite its low pH value.

Applications

• Requires treatment once a day for 3 days, thereafter once per week.
• Simply sprinkle 50 g per m2 of floor space.
• Can be done by hand or sieve.
• Can also use spreaders or powder blowers.
• Can be used in footbaths replacing liquid disinfectants.
• Can be used for disinfection of houses, mills, silo’s, augers, transport vehicles and feed tanks
