MORVET is the brainchild of our founder, Dr. Martin Ferreira, an exceptional and goal-oriented veterinarian and entrepreneur. Dr. Ferreira had a profound respect for animals and humans alike, consistently going above and beyond to research and find suitable solutions or cures. With a Masters in Veterinary Science specializing in Bovine Herd Health and pursuing a PhD on micro-minerals, his dedication to veterinary science was unparalleled. Tragically, Dr. Ferreira passed away in 2021, but his legacy continues to inspire and drive us.
The concept of directly supplying livestock products to farmers was gradually introduced by Dr. Becker and Dr. Ferreira of Potch Animal Clinic during 2000 and 2001. Initially, after providing clinical and veterinary advice to farmers, medications were supplied on a small scale by Potch Animal Clinic. This practice received positive feedback from the farmers, leading to an increase in the provision of pharmaceuticals.
MORVET was officially established in 2003, building on the firm foundations instilled by Dr. Martin Ferreira. Our sole purpose has always been to supply farmers and pet owners with high-quality animal health products at competitive prices, backed by exceptional service. For the past 21 years, we have delivered outstanding service to our clients, with our dedicated front desk team always ready to assist.
Recently, MORVET has expanded its offerings to include food for companion animals, further enhancing our service to pet owners. Our resident veterinarian, Dr. Sakkie Janse van Rensburg, is available to provide expert advice and assist pet owners with their queries.
